Painting & Drawing

Through play and investigation, students will get a foundation in visual arts and develop their painting and drawing skills and techniques. They will discover a range of materials like charcoal, oil pastels, tempera and gouache paints and use them for imaginative projects inspired by great artists and creative processes.

“Taught by local visual artist Krisdy Shindler, whose practice is centred around painting, delves into animation, film, and photography. She completed her Masters of Fine Arts degree at The Glasgow School of Art in 2006. She received her BFA from Emily Carr University in 2001. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and she has taught painting at Emily Carr University. She is also a mother of an amazing 3-year-old and incorporates art into her everyday life with a toddler.”
